“You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'” ~ George Bernard Shaw
Hi and welcome to my web site. I believe childhood is one of the greatest times of our lives. It’s filled with imagination and limitless possibilities. When I was little my mother used to tell me I could be anything. I tell my little girls the same thing, and I truly believe it.
When children dream, let them dream big dreams.
The potency of their dreams becomes our future.
What do little ones dream about? Faeries, mermaids and….stuffed pigs? Well…why not? Well, what if that stuffed pig also wore a tutu and a crown.
By day, a princess, by night, a disco diva pig.
Yeah, that’s what I am talking about.
Pure pig awesomeness.

The lucid incased flesh
A branch
Heavy with winters ice
Dripping
Raped of its berries
Sweet slumber

Wet with
Too many rains
And the hope of spring
Lingering.

Simply creating
Beauty in simplicity
While inside
I count the colors
Of gold
That flicker
Bright eyes
You.
Life
Theories crashing
Like Chinese lanterns

Death comes

Mid winters haze
violets tucked into soil
waiting for springs warmth
Like I slumbered for so long
waiting for your warmth
To melt the snowy rivers.
I carry you in my pocket now
your words, your kisses
I cannot tell reality
against the pounding of my heart
Your kisses each intricate and delicate
have stories of their own
The soil, the cold air, The sound of water falling.
Your hands on my hips
I could not tell where I ended and you began
Now I quietly wonder
If I can pin you to my heart?

Tantalizing messages
Like tangerines and sweet

In that place.

Product Description
Where Darkness Touches Light is about losing yourself, hope, love, pain, and finding yourself again. Poetry is very much a part of who I am, ingrained into my spirit and into my soul. There is a division of spirit and soul that I have become more aware of. The title has some symbolical meanings to me as I believe we all have to fight against sin, but that is also what makes us so human and frail. The world has become too loud, too technological. If you listen in the quiet of the night you can hear the earth and stars speak again. Life, each moment, precious and passing by us even as we speak. We can only hope to find understanding in one another and this is my expression of who I am. A little bit of dark, a little bit of light?and all the shades of grey in between.
Come join 4 year-old Emma and her eccentric imaginary friend Petunia the pig, as they share joyous adventures during tea time. Bring your tutu and get ready for bright and joyful illustrations, capturing childhood dreams and the whimsy of playtime.

To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams. ~Giorgio de Chirico
